About Steer Protocol

Steer provides automated vaults and liquidity engines for protocols, asset managers and builders, and says it has deployed more than 4,000 vaults across 40+ chains. Its Smart Pools manage concentrated liquidity for a 15% performance fee, and Steer Pro, launched in April 2025, offers DAOs automated treasury strategies.

Our verdict

Its clients appear only as testimonials on its own site, and it does not document what its strategists can do with vault funds.

Strengths & weaknesses

What works

  • Non-custodial vaults
  • Public vault listing
  • Value managed is tracked independently

Where it loses grades

  • Clients named only in testimonials on its own site
  • Strategist and keeper permissions are not documented
  • Vault value has roughly halved since September 2025
Who it suits

A token issuer that wants automated concentrated liquidity on many chains without a bespoke mandate.

Who it’s not for

A DAO that needs a manager whose appointment is on the public record.
